ACRONYMICAL
The Game Show

If someone gave me a million dollars and said go make a game show / sitcom / cooking show this is the one I'd make:

ACRONYMICAL

The Acronyms
Picture Jeopardy!, but instead of trivia questions (er uh, answers) in each box there would just be an acronym, like "ASCAP". There are three contestants, and one would ring in and then have to quickly spit out what the acronym stands for. The thing is, it doesn't have to be the actual acronym, in fact, most responses would be made up. So "ASCAP" might be Association of Spitting Camel Art Police. If this is the actual acronym, then the player gets a bonus. Most of the time, responses will be made up, and so they have to be judged.

The Judges
The Judges are a panel of D-List celebrities, usually 3 or 4. They are a wild bunch, and the rules for grading player responses are pretty fast and loose. For instance, if one judge loves a response and gives it a 10/10, the next judge may hate it and give it a -20/10. The last judge may give it the grade of "Cheesecake". Food plays a major role in the game.

The Food
Contestants aren't playing just for points or money. They're trying to build a meal. The Acronym Categories that they choose from relate to the food item that they will get if they correctly answer. Categories might include "Salty", "Salad", "Fruit", "Mexican", "Breakfast", etc. The goal is to create a full, tasty meal at the end of the game that the judges will judge and the players will be forced to eat. Therefore, some strategy is involved. After receiving a burrito for scoring an acronym under the "Mexican" category, the player might answer a "Breakfast" acronym and combo this into a breakfast burrito. But be careful! They may score poorly on a "Seafood" acronym and get oysters! Those don't go with breakfast burritos! (Hint: Seafood is always terrible, and is a sucker's category).

The Players
Here is where the sitcom aspect of the show plays out. See, only one of the contestants is an actual non-actor that applies to be on the show in the traditional game show way. The other two contestants come from a small pool (5 or 6) of characters. The characters' lives are followed somewhat off-stage.

The Main Characters
The main characters are the Host of ACRONYMICAL, Jason Bateman (played by Jason Bateman) and the Creator and Producer of ACRONYMICAL, Patrick Stewart (played by Captain Picard). Despite the strangeness of the show as it is, Patrick Stewart is constantly coming up with even zanier ideas for the show, and it's up to Jason Bateman to reign him in and keep the show somewhat grounded, that is, to make the show work. Jason already has to put up with guest judges like Coolio and Andy Dick, so when Patrick comes to him with an idea for incorporating Sleipnir into the show, and to "think of the show more from the perspective of the Norse gods" and "to make the show Norsier", Jason may sometimes snap.

The Winnings
It's up to Patrick and Jason to come up with the grand prize each week, and while Jason usually tries for more traditional prizes, like money, Patrick prefers more exotic items. He usually gets obsessed with a different movie each week and wants to give out props from the movie, such as "the arc reactor from Iron Man. That thing can power a city block, Jason!" or "the chainsaw from American Psycho. Jason, do you think it still works after he dropped it on that poor prostitute?"

So...
I think it'd be fun. This is a show I want to watch.
